COSTUMES PUT ON STAGE AT CONVENTIONS

My first costume entry was Ferris Channel and Gen companion,
which won best technical merit at Darkover 13. They are on my Sime/Gen page.

My later and more complicated costumes are located tward the bottom of the page.

Second costume, inspired by the first is costumer burnout.
This won funniest novice at costume con 9. It was a lot of
fun to do. Don Combs is featured as the doctor.

Third costume put on stage was Inseam Anna Jones, seen here to the right. This won the Clotilde award at costume con 11 (1993). The Mad Arab is played by Don Combs. The audience really enjoyed this presentation.

Above, the future fashion show of costume con 11 (1993). Even the cat isn't safe. Here is Baby Huey as Cyber Kitty. He won an honorable mention in the future fashion show. His collar is decorated with circuts, and his tail sports an electrical plug, for when he needs to recharge. Mom is seen in her Hostess shafely costume for the future fashion show. Using draw strings hidden under the trim, this caftan can be drawn in on the sides, and up to make the hem shorter for day wear.

To the far left is our favorite malfunctioning robot, Edwina 409 and 3/8. A spoof on the movie Robocop's ED series of robots. Center is Edwina 409 & 3/8 and her creator, Dr. Dweeby. To the left is Dr. Dwight D. Dweeby attempting to look professional. This costume won most threatening at Lunacon, in ‘96. Dr. Dweeby is played by himself.

My latest costume was designed by Allison Condo for the Costume Con 15 future fashion show. It is entitled "shades of doubt". It is Allison's rendition of a lawyer of the future. The brassard at the front of the suit has taken the place of a briefcase. All the lawyers information is contained in it, and the lawyer is cyberjacked into it, to afford quick and easy retrieval of all informtion. (You can't see it by the photo, but there are blinking lights in the center of each circuit of the brassard). The white wig has been re-introduced into the court of the future.

This costume is very popular. I get most photos taken of this one when I use it as a hall costume.

COSTUMES FROM A HALLOWEEN PARTY

These Drag costumes come from halloween '94. I went as a Man and Don went as a Woman. No one recgonized me when I walked in the door. The party's hostess could not get over how I could physically pass for a man, but the jig was up as soon as I said anything in my usual feminine voice. The "girls" couldn't keep their hands off this handsom guy all night.

The shades of doubt photos are copywrited 1997 by Ken Warren.
All others copywrited various years by M. Serafino.
